Established in 1950, specialists ever since
We, J. Mitra & Bros., established in 1950, are a specialist company dealing mainly in hardware, disposables and implantable devices pertaining to cardiac surgery for over 50 years. Our core strength is our long-term and strong relationship with cardiac surgeons and cardiologists throughout the country.
We have been distributors for the Sarns Heart-Lung Machine — currently owned by Terumo, and earlier by 3M — for about 50 years, and we have installed more than 800 machines across the country.
As you can perceive, we deal in premium products that are most preferred by surgeons. We have represented most of our principals for several decades and supply disposable products to the majority of the heart centres in Delhi NCR.

We begin distributing the Sarns Heart-Lung Machine — a partnership that continues today under Terumo, spanning nearly five decades.

Over 800 heart-lung machines installed across India, building deep trust with cardiac surgeons and centres.

Moving to enhance our portfolio of items used in cardiac surgery, we set up a manufacturing facility in Sonepat in 2024. Our Make-in-India initiative focuses on disposables used in heart surgery — we already manufacture tubing sets and blood-cardioplegia devices, and are now expanding into devices for other specialities including anaesthesia, respiratory care, critical care, diabetes, dialysis, infusion therapy and wound drainage.
